Article Abstract:
Studies reveal the consequences of nutrient deficiencies in children and the widespread use of nutrient supplements is discussed. It is debated whether such a wide spread usage of the supplement is necessary. Starting with checking on children's vitamin and mineral needs, grading the child's diet, filling the nutrient gaps and reexamining the diet would help in giving the best nutrition to the child.

The right fats allow kids to absorb vitamin A and other important nutrients, keep them from getting hungry again too soon, and protect their hearts by lowering cholesterol and blood pressure. The monosaturated fats, the kind abundant in olive, canola, and peanut oils, olives, nuts, seeds, avocados and peanut butter do not harm children.
