The ultimate benefits package ... AEDs in the workplace can save lives
Article Abstract:
More employers are purchasing automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for early intervention in cases of sudden cardiac arrest. Defibrillators, used to restore the heartbeat when the heart goes into ventricular fibrillation, can be a critical piece of first aid equipment as studies have repeatedly shown that early intervention is important in such cases. An AED costs around $3,000 to $4,000 and a first aider can be taught to property used the device in a matter of hours.
