The use of human tissue in bone grafting techniques
Article Abstract:
The technique of bone grafting is outlined and the normal regulation and safety considerations examined, highlighting the nursing implications surrounding the issue. Patients have individual concerns about tissue from other humans being used in their surgery for a variety of moral and religious reasons, and in order to gain informed consent, patients should be given information about the procedure and the products used, as well as careful counseling about the reasons for the choice of product, the associated moral, ethical, and safety issues.
