Three basic principles of success
Article Abstract:
The three basic principles for running a successful dental practice are strategy, objectives, and tactics. Dentists should write down five to seven statements describing the type of business they want to provide. Then they must come up with goals or objectives they must meet to provide those services. Finally, they must list a series of actions they must take to achieve these goals. The goals must have deadlines and the results must be measurable.

Applying statistics to the dental practice
Article Abstract:
Dentists can conduct a percentage production analysis to determine what changes they can make to achieve optimum production levels. For example, dental hygiene patients may constitute 50% of production, new patients 40%, and emergency patients 10%. Other variables include the total number of patients the practice serves and the number of employees.
