Thumb arthritis
Article Abstract:
Studies reveal that thumb pain that occurs whenever one attempt to pinch or grasp something is often due to arthritis in the joint at the base of the thumb, called the carpometacarpal (CMC) joint. As a result of constant wear and tear, the joint at the base of the thumb, called the carpometacarpal joint tends to deteriorate and develop arthritis and further even as conservative measures are no longer effective, severe surgery help rectify the damage.
