Treatment of physiological and pathological neonatal jaundice
Article Abstract:
Neonatal jaundice is a common condition and can be resolved without treatment, however in some cases it can be a symptom of an underlying pathological condition. Treatment for jaundice involves phototherapy and/or exchange transfusion of donor blood while in cases of pathological jaundice the underlying cause has to be treated.
