Tuberculosis and HIV in India
Article Abstract:
Tuberculosis is the most widespread human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-related opportunistic infection in India, offering a major public health challenge. Tuberculosis care and HIV care are increasingly being coordinated in the country, but the control of both diseases will be successful only if programs collaborate whenever possible and are incorporated into medical care.

Priorities for the treatment of latent tuberculosis infection in the United States
Article Abstract:
The lifetime risk of reactivation tuberculosis, for a person with a positive tuberculin skin test, is estimated at 5 to10 percent. In order to identify patients who are at risk, and to motivate them to complete a course of treatment, the existing data are reviewed to obtain estimates of the risk of reactivation tuberculosis.

Tuberculous meningitis
Article Abstract:
Tuberculosis is the most common form of bacterial meningitis. In countries with high incidence of tuberculosis, tuberculous meningitis is found in young adults and countries with low incidence of tuberculosis, tuberculous meningitis is found in adults.
