Underactive thyroid: this common condition can be easy to miss

Hypothyroidism is a problem that occurs when the thyroid fails to make enough hormones. New tests are making it easier to diagnose. It easily treated with a daily doses of levothyrozine. Common causes are autoimmune disorder, use of radioactive iodine, radiation therapy and thyroid surgery.

'Bone cancer': still no cure, but good progress in treatment
Article Abstract:
Multiple myeloma is a cancer of the plasma cells that causes bone pain. Most patients survive two to three years, but some may live for 10 years or more. Treatments include medication, combined chemotherapy, interferon and bone marrow transplants.
