The symptoms and patient care of Stickler's disease are described. Stickler's disease, also known as hereditary progressive arthro-ophthalmopathy, is a hereditary disease of the connective tissue. The disease affects the collagen proteins in connective tissue in joints and in the eyes. Since it can cause eye and/or joint problems, it is hard to diagnose.

Should school nurses be dispensing emergency contraception?
Article Abstract:
Contracting views are expressed about whether the UK's school nurses should be able to offer emergency contraception. Some observers regard this as a viable way to reduce teenage pregnancies, while others feel that it cannot be condoned unless school nurses have the appropriate training and are able to devote time to counselling about sexual issues.
