p53 and tumor suppression
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to understand the mechanisms responsible for engaging p53-mediated tumor suppression and contribution of p53 to the development of cancer and treatment responses. The findings indicate that temporary inhibition of p53 function during radiation therapy or chemotherapy in normal tissues could provide protection from tissue destruction without compromising p53-mediated tumor suppression albeit at the risk of the treated tumor's becoming more aggressive.

Oncogene-induced cell senescence -- Halting on the road to cancer
Article Abstract:
Oncogene-induced cell senescence is triggered by unscheduled signaling within the cell by the protein products of oncogenes and is accompanied by the activation of a tumor-suppressor network. This tumor suppressor network, eventually, helps in the progression of cancer and has wide ramification for cancer risk, cancer kinetic, and cancer treatment.

Mouse models of gynecologic pathology
Article Abstract:
The cataloguing of mutated oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes in various types of human cancers has provided a rich knowledge base for the creation of genetic models. Hence, Dinulescu and group have described a new model that is a tour de force in genetic modeling of gynecologic abnormalities.
