Bonnie Bassler is a biologist at Princeton University who has discovered quorum sensing that govern the way bacteria communicate with each other. Her discoveries could lead to important medical breakthroughs in limiting the harm caused by bacteria. She is also the author of around 30 scholarly papers that were printed in journals as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (USA), Nature, Cell, and the Journal of Biological Chemistry.
