Musician Daniel Elfman first became famous as the singer for a rock band called Oingo Boingo, but encouraged by filmmaker Tim Burton began composing for the movies. Elfman's credits include films such as Burton's "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" as well as compositions for television shows such as "The Simpsons" and "Desperate Housewives", the latter winning him an Emmy Award in 2005.
