Mickey Spillane
Article Abstract:
Frank Morrison Spillane, more popularly known as Mickey Spillane, the best-selling writer of crime novels, was one of the most popular American authors of all time. Spillane was a workmanlike master of the hard-boiled detective genre, to which he brought a new level of lurid sex and sadistic violence, and personally cultivated a gritty public image in tune with that of his noir antihero, Mike Hammer.
