Rulon Gardner, a wrestler, who came to Greco-Roman wrestling in 2000 gave the match his own orthodox style. He became the 1991 National Junior College Athletic Association national champion and was awarded the wrestling scholarship by the University of Nebraska, including a fourth place in the National Collegiate Athletic AssociationEs 1993 national championship.
