Constance Baker Motley
Article Abstract:
Constance Baker Motley became the first woman of any race to serve as president of one of New York's five boroughs, and the first African-American woman to be named a federal judge. Motley was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame in 1993, and received the Presidential Citizens Medal in 2001.
