'The Roman-Letter Swordguard Postmarks of Japan' charts the growth of Japan's post-war postal service. A.L. Swenson's research to discover where the postmarks were used, was monumental. The Aug 1995 issue of the 'The Posthorn' put out by the Scandinavian Collectors Club, is also recommended.

The PMCC is spearheading an effort to make the zip code publications of the US Postal Service more accurate. Directories continue to publish the addresses of post office locations that are closed and they also omit thousands of offices.
