Linda Cochran was attracted to a home in Puget Sound because it offered a combination of open space and soggy area. The soggy area was cultivated first, resulting in a bog garden. Then came glorious experimentations with a wide variety of plants, many of them tropical.

Inspired by verbascums
Article Abstract:
Verbascums are a variety of mullein that great for areas of the garden that are difficult to grow other plants. The silvery leaf plants enjoy full sun, poor soil and bad drainage. Verbascums shoot out tall blooms of flowers that can grow up to six feet tall.
