Article Abstract:
The North Carolina-made braided, wicker back and seated rocking chairs, 15 in all in various locations, used by the US President John F. Kennedy during his lifetime to ease his back pain command lot of interest at auctions. One of the chairs sold for US $96,000 to private collector Lucio Zagari, a Neapolitan ship owner and a big admirer of president and Mrs. Kennedy.

Seamstress Margarete Steiff (1894-1909) was one of the early producers of stuffed teddy bears. Collectors of antique teddy bears seek out the earliest examples like 'Eddy', especially those bearing the distinctive Steiff button.
