There are 20 million of white-tailed deer feeding on the hostas according to wildlife experts and it is all thanks to reduced hunting, the population of Odocoileus virginamnus are booming. Different ways of preventing deer from entering the yard by planting plants that are unpalatable to deer, using broad repellents and tactics that can be used to scare deer, are discussed.
