Finding a home within a home
Article Abstract:
A couple on a house-hunting spree come across a house that is to be demolished and upon investigation find hidden log walls that were a foot thick. On discovering this they buy the house and rebuild the stacks of chimney foundation with limestone blocks, remove the siding and additions, building an addition off the back and adding electricity and a modern heating and air-conditioning system, thus restoring the house and making it the only log cabin in Austin to be used as residence.
