Ornamental iron fences require time and skill to make and the craftsmanship needed to replicate the antiques makes them quite expensive. But old architectural ironwork has a rugged elegance in addition to strength, and is a perfect solution when a sprawling space indoors needs to be divided, or a boundary is to be established outdoors without blocking the view.

Yurt time has come

Yurt is a circular tent with windows and framed-in entry doors, and it can be equipped with electricity and plumbing for kitchens and baths. Circular, canvas-covered yurts have plywood subfloors, which can be upgraded with tile or hardwood, and wood lattice walls that unfold like accordions.
