A few of the many new introductions of plants in 2006 for gardeners are illustrated with each description on USDA hardiness and AHS heat zone estimates. Some of the new introduction includes Lemon Leigh, Zinia elegans, Clematis 'Barbara', Clematis 'Julka', and Clematis 'Hania'.

Classic and contemporary spireas

The different colors of spireas range from pure white through shades of pink to deep magenta, and depending on the species, bloom from spring through late summer. Different types of spireas like tall, mid-size, low mounding, and North American are described.

The allure of lotus
