Issues concerning the garden of Betsy Trow in Richmond, which is created around a bronze fountain, are presented. Reference is made to the work of landscape designer Carrington Brown who designed a brick patio within a perennial garden.

Artist Bill Nance chose a circular motif when he designed the garden of a 1920s bungalow in Huntsville, AL. The fishpond, foyer and herb gardens, and the lawn on the main garden are all sculpted into a circular shape. A lattice entry, an arbor and a summerhouse add to its charm.
