Several guidelines by experts for pruning techniques and their right timing for pruning are presented as it is essential in late winter or early spring to encourage thicker foliage and a hardier plant. One of the techniques includes heading cuts, which remove only pat of a stem or limb and encourage side branching and dense growth.
