The Family-friendly Kiroli Park in West Monroe, Louisiana, has derived its name from the Kiwanis, Rotary and Lions clubs, which bought the Acreage in 1925. The park is an ideal place to stroll and stretch the legs after a long drive, equipped with a Garden Trail with a covered bridge and a suspension bridge and the Wildflower Trail of open field, a playground and giant pines, and lush ferns along the trails.

Richard Kolb and his son Richard Jr. began molding lawn ornaments out of pieces of scrap metal in 1991. Today the father and son along with a group of artists make and sell a variety of different animals ranging from cats, snails, dogs, mice, deer and toucans for lawns in a brick and metal building just south of Louisville, Kentucky.
