SATRA, the UK technology center and a European notified body for personal protective equipment (PPE), revised the European standard for high visibility clothing, EN471:2003 that covers design, performance and testing of hi-visibility clothing. The four main components to the new European standard such as background material, retroreflective tape, garment design and garment classification are discussed.
