Bargaining activity and disputes continue over summer break
Article Abstract:
The bargaining activity between the social union, government and employer representatives has continued during the summer of 2004. Many agreements were reached in Sweden, the UK, and Norway, Greece and Italy. In France a wide-ranging plan aimed at promoting social cohesion was unveiled by the social cohesion minister.

Avoiding the relocation of production

The trade unions in France have successfully negotiated and avoided a relocation of Bosch operations to Czech Republic. The current efforts in Western European nations in avoiding the relocation of the production plants to other countries are discussed.
