Article Abstract:

EU Commissioner Mario Monti discussed plans for the creation of a single market for pensions in the region. His commission is set to release the Communication, which will reveal concrete actions for the single market initiative based on the consultation process. This paper will discuss the main goal of a legislative proposal, which is to allow cross-border membership of pension funds. The commissioner also discussed other provisions to be included in the Communication, including the scope of the legislative proposal and the three-pronged approach to minimum harmonization.

The Indian-born founder of FIA Services in Switzerland generated unforced and inclusive fun that he combined with hard work and rigor. His speeches during international seminars and conferences always sought to inform through entertainment. Anyone who has encountered such kind of fun finds it difficult to forget it.

Article Abstract:

The editor of Benefits and Compensation International highlights the rewards of being involved in the pension provision field. The broad mix of economics, social policy, finance and law covered by the field makes it a challenging venture. The importance of communicating the value of these benefits is also stressed, especially since 1993 has been designated the European Year of Older People.
