Communications Up?
Article Abstract:
The supervisor is responsible for communicating the organization's wishes to the employees. Communication should also come from the employee to the supervisor. Sometimes this communication fails to surface due to employee reluctance or a feeling of not being listened to. If a supervisor does not receive communication from his employees, something is wrong and he should discover the reason. The supervisor should then know what, how and when to communicate from the employee to management.

Accident Repeaters
Article Abstract:
Certain employees have numerous occupational accidents on their records. Employees who are accident repeaters represent a two-sided problem. The cause of the accident may be the fault of the individual employee. The cause could also be a previously unobserved unsafe condition or practice. A checklist to help analyze the cause of accident repeaters should include data regarding human accident repeaters, repeating accident causes, and prevention.
