Form-fitting procedures
Article Abstract:
Organization-specific personnel forms are most efficient. Specialized seminar or meeting registration forms can help organize the payment process. Forms which record changes in employee data can help organize departmental information. Forms which present standard questions to check employment references speed up the process. Forms to request employee leave help to schedule convenient vacation time. Temporary assistance forms can help determine the best people to hire by including information about hours and job duties. Forms to place advertisements with an agency can alleviate time demands. Forms to request an offer letter can streamline this step in the hiring process by having important information for the letter on one form.

Documentation takes form
Article Abstract:
Standardized forms can help make personnel documentation more complete and informative than 'ad hoc' documentation, such as phone messages and letters. Forms that are designed well will help reduce instances in which information is omitted. They can help make recorded data easier to process. Forms will also help define a procedure, such as creating a form to help process responses to an advertisement. To determine when to develop a new form, the following issues need to be considered: legality of requested information; how frequent the information will be needed; whether a formal or individual document is needed; and whether a form can substitute for an original, ad hoc document.

Match temp services to your needs
Article Abstract:
One way a company can make sure a temporary service will meet its needs is by interviewing a representative of the service company. The representative should be able to answer any questions on: invoicing; time cards; office hours; and recruitment. The temporary service representative, in turn, should ask about such things as: temporary use patterns in the company; office equipment; and equal employment opportunity status in order to provide the best quality service.
