Article Abstract:
The need to focus on the distribution phase of the 401(k) plans rather than the accumulation phase thereof is emphasized. The role employers can play in assisting their employees' plan for their retirement in such a manner is discussed. The advantages of company's group purchasing power and the tax advantages of employer-sponsored plans are also discussed.
