British information data bases of computer based learning packages for educators and trainers lack comprehensive evaluation of materials due to a lack of resources and the threat of libel actions. A system of accreditation could be set up in Great Britain based on a US model. The selection and retention of software would be based on one of three criteria: current use; favorable reviews; or a software award from a professional organization.

Interactive video (IV) technology is becoming more common as a medium in employee training and development. Two new technologies have been developed: computer disc interactive and hypertexts. Both offer features and advantages that can offer benefits in developing training materials and should be explored further.
