Pan--European pension institutions: from concept to prototype
Article Abstract:
The European Federation for Retirement Provision (EFRP) released e'IORP 2005' on 3 December 2005, which is a revised version of the report released in July 2000 by the ERFP to define the concept of a European pension fund. The developments that led to the updating of the report, the basic requirements that needs to be satisfied by the 2005 EIORP model, and the issues that need to be resolved before implementing the EIORP model as a final model are discussed.

1992 IGP seminar: Vienna
Article Abstract:
The Ninth European IGP Seminar was held in Vienna in Oct 1992 and offered 30 panel sessions to participants who could choose any eight. Special sessions on the pension provisions of the EC and eastern Europe featured speakers from Norway, South Africa, Switzerland, Mexico, the Netherlands, Brazil and Zimbabwe. Participants this year witnessed IGP's celebration of its 25th year anniversary and were treated to a lunch and recital by the Vienna Boys Choir.

EURACS East European conference: Vienna
Article Abstract:
A one-day conference in Vienna was held by EURACS in Vienna in Oct 1992. The aim of the conference was to exchange information on pension plan information between Eastern and Western European countries. The opening speaker discussed before the 70 participants the issue of state versus provate pension provisions. Speakers from the Russian Federaton, Poland, the Czech republic and Hungary described their respective country's pension program.
