Professional answers to career questions
Article Abstract:
Senior executives who are terminated often feel humiliated and shocked that they no longer have job security and control over their lives. It is important that they confront their job loss, by contacting everyone inside and outside the organization and offering short, matter-of-fact explanations. Terminated executives should stay in touch with these people as a source for job leads. The executives should also make a comprehensive list of their accomplishments to serve as the basis for their resumes and to rebuild their self-confidence and pride.
