Push and shove
Article Abstract:
Many manual occupations routinely involve pushing and pulling and there is little focused research that concentrates on this aspect of manual material handling as workers at risk push, pull and carry loads in a wide variety of activities. The risks of slipping or tripping while pushing or pulling can be cut by taking time and paying attention to the route and adjusting stride to a pace that is suitable for the surface and the task.
