Regulating external and internal forms of flexibility at local level: five European regions compared
Article Abstract:
The five European countries have formulated new regulations for the protection and rights of the workers. The process of negotiation and consultation between employers and trade unions at a local and enterprise level is conducted, thus providing a comparative analysis of employment and adaptable form of work.

France: further relaxation of the 35-hour week
Article Abstract:
The government wants to introduce more flexibility in the organization of working time and is reviewing the legislation passed in 2003. Employee unions are not so happy with the government's decision as they feel that by reducing work hours companies simply want to reduce their costs.
