Factors such as less job security, greater specialization, increased competition, the aging population, sophisticated technologies and the changing face of the labor force will have widespread ramifications on compensation and benefit arrangements, whether private or state-sponsored, in the future. Compensation and benefit structures will veer towards creating more flexible benefits, instead of continuously changing the levels of compensation and benefits.
