Use creativity to educate your benefits audience
Article Abstract:
Human resource (HR) executives are keeping pace with the growing complexity of employee benefits by utilizing high-technology communication tools. Television, video productions, automated voice response systems and interactive computer software are increasing in popularity as effective ways of educating employees regarding benefit programs. New Life Insurance Co, for instance, may be the first company to use satellite technology in benefits communication when it held a telemeeting, which was broadcast to its 23 geographically disparate branches. The creative use of modern communication tools at New York Life Insurance, as well as at American Express' Information Services Corp and Dresser Industries Inc, is discussed.
