What role will the Internet play in plan administration or the dissemination of information to employees?
Article Abstract:
The Internet will become a familiar tool in providing information concerning 401(k) plans. It has become a powerful tool for employers and employees due to information on investments made readily available. However, security problems still plague the Internet. It can be a breeding ground for hackers and information pirates. Credit card numbers of shoppers using the Internet have been duplicated and unauthorized purchases have been made. Employees are still hesitant to provide personal information such as 401(k) investments on the Internet.
