Article Abstract:
Issues regarding the large number of invasion-of-privacy lawsuits against Doubleclick Inc challenging its handling of data collected about Web users are discussed. Doubleclick is a Web advertising leader who has been sued in both federal and state courts. Causes of action also include violations of federal wiretapping and electronic communications law whichh might also be used against other Web-ad companies.

A judge carries burden of proof; will 2d Circuit back his rebellion against sentencing rules?
Article Abstract:
Issues regarding New York judge Howard Munson's rebellion against the sentencing rules are discussed, and Munson's sentence of a person for a murder he was never charged with, tried for and convicted of has resulted in an appeal to the 2d Circuit. Munson charged the drug trafficking defendant with an unsolved double homicide.
