Administrative law cases during 1991
Article Abstract:
The doctrine which has evolved from Chevron v Natural Resources Defense Council during 1991-1992 has had the greatest impact on administrative law. Cases during 1991 have been decided affecting the difference between courts and administrative agencies. The US Supreme Court showed its willingness to consider separation and delegation of power issues. It also heard cases concerning due process right to be heard before agency action, availability for review issues in addition to procedure and tort liability issues.

Article Abstract:
Cases involving administrative law are surveyed. Issues include due process rights to an administrative hearing, administrative procedures, application of evidentiary rules and protections against unreasonable searches to administrative hearings, the availability and proper scope of judicial review of administrative acts and decisions, and citizen standing to challenge administrative acts. Also surveyed are cases concerning the tort liability of administrative officials acting in a judicial capacity.

Article Abstract:
A survey of major administrative law cases for the year 1994 covers litigation in the appellate courts and the Supreme Court. Cases dealing with administrative procedure, rulemaking, judicial review of administrative acts and pre-enforcement judicial review are discussed.
