An analysis of changing industrial relations in China
Article Abstract:
The changing industrial relations in China are explored by reviewing the existing literature and analyzing an industrial relations survey conducted by the Shanghai Municipal Trade Union Council. It is learnt that China's transition from a planned economy to a quasi-market one, has replaced a harmonic relationship between the employer and workers by widespread labour disputes between enterprise management and workers, which is centered on labour arbitration.

Fundamental social rights in pre- and post-constitutional terms
Article Abstract:
The development of fundamental social rights in the European Union (EU) is outlined, with a focus on a pre-constitutional and a post constitutional understanding of the fundamental social rights. It is argued that the newly pledged fundamental rights would have a considerable impact on both EU as well as Member State Policies and that a more general 'constitutionally colored' fundamental rights pathway must be distinguished from the social policy track.
