As firms grow more confident, their home pages grow richer

Law firms on the World Wide Web are beginning to rethink the design of their home pages and are opting for site development that favors quality over quantity. Firms with an early presence on the Web often provided as much content as possible without considering what clients and potential clients might actually need. A number of firms are providing users with access to law librarians, entertainment information and positions on pending legislation. Improved technology has increased the quality of graphics and interactivity as well.

Firms should showcase high-tech capabilities
Article Abstract:
Law firms are increasingly measured by technically sophisticated clients by what technological capabilities and related skills they bring to research, information management, and legal practice. To meet these new demands firms should give a prominent place in marketing materials to information on lawyers and staff, detailing their accomplishments, training, memberships, and the like. Physical equipment and telecommunications arrangements should also be clearly evident. Electronic and video presentations are discussed.
