"Interested adults" with conflicts of interest at juvenile interrogations: applying the close relationship standard of emotional distress
Article Abstract:
The author discusses the waiver by a juvenile of the privilege against self-incrimination or the right to counsel. The grounds for contesting the admission of a juvenile's statement under interrogation based on the competency of the interested adult who was present during interrogation is discussed.
