The US District Court for the District of Delaware's status as one of the nation's key trial courts for the resolution of major patent disputes is discussed. This larger volume of case law to guide lower courts created by the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the increasing demand of patentees for jury trials in patent cases both help to explain the Delaware court's status.
