War crimes law comes of age
Article Abstract:
Developments in international law regarding crimes against humanity have grown significantly since conflict in the former Yugoslavia began and atrocities in Rwanda occurred. The law stipulates that crimes need not be part of international conflict and can take place during peacetime. Individuals can be held responsible for criminal acts, just as states can be. The law has developed to where human rights law and law regarding crimes against humanity have more and more in common.

Crimes and accountability in Shakespeare
Article Abstract:
William Shakespeare created in his plays commentary on the responsibilities of international leaders which is more thought provoking than any such treatment in the language of international law. Shakespeare dealt with accountability for criminal acts, the moral and legal dimensions of power, and the treatment of innocents during war. Plays such as 'Henry V' and 'Richard III' are applicable to the late 20th century's international political climate.
