Five years of China's WTO membership: EU and US perspectives on China's compliance with transparency commitments and the transitional review mechanism
Article Abstract:
A review of five years of China's World Trade Organization (WTO) membership which was achieved after nearly fifteen years of exhausting negotiations shows that many legal, political and social problems are not yet tackled in terms of achieving real implementation of WTO provisions throughout the territory of the People's Republic of China. Bilateral engagements and multilateral forums are essential to bring China into full compliance with its WTO commitments.

Commonalities and differences between the transatlantic approaches towards WTO law
Article Abstract:
The approaches taken towards WTO law by the legal orders of the United States of America and Europe are compared with a view to gaining a better understanding of the European approach. It is argued that the selective and pragmatic approach adopted by America influenced the adoption of a similar approach by Europe.
