Forum selection; Bush v. Gore
Article Abstract:
The forum selection aspects of Bush v. Gore, the case emerging from the 2000 presidential election, are discussed. Whether Gore engaged in inappropriate forum shopping in his wish to be heard by the reputedly liberal Florida Supreme Court and whether Bush though up contorted federal claims in his desire to appeal the Florida ruling are covered.

Forum selection; is selecting shopping?
Article Abstract:
Issues regarding the distinction between forum selection and the much less ethical forum shopping are discussed.Forum shopping is unethical and is more than forum selection when it involves the bringing of frivolous claims in an improper forum.

When forum selection crosses the line to become forum-shopping and becomes an offense which should always be sanctioned is discussed. Judge-shopping, a variant of forum-shopping, is discussed at some length.
