Is there an audit in your future? Tax know-how and uneven revenue flow make lawyers choice targets for IRS
Article Abstract:
Attorneys are likely candidates for IRS audits because their revenue and expenses do not necessarily come in the same period, they have high incomes and they are likely to know and use any advantageous tax regulations. Therefore, being selected for an audit does not mean an error was found and so attorneys should not become defensive but should attempt to discover what the IRS agent is looking for. Most importantly, attorneys should not volunteer information that could be damaging.

Decoding disability coverage: purchase enough insurance to secure a comfortable retirement - and no more
Article Abstract:
Attorneys are not at high risk of becoming disabled and so should carefully consider just how much disability insurance is necessary and what purpose it should serve. Corporate Compensation Plans Inc. offers an innovative insurance that continues contributions into a disabled person's retirement plan to allow for a comfortable retirement. Other plans offer a lump sum but only come into effect if it is a lifetime disability and do not provide for retirement at all.
