How in-house counsel use computers; ABA survey confirms technology widespread in corporate law departments
Article Abstract:
The ABA Legal Technology Resource Center has compiled a survey showing increased use of computers by corporate legal departments. The survey showed that the 74% of corporate counsel who use computers exceeds percentages in other areas of legal practice. At least 70% of corporate counsel surveyed used local area networks, while 68% used electronic mail. Computer experts ascribe lawyers' interest in technology to concerns about money and efficiency.
